Robert Roach

Robert Roach is the Vice President of Research. He joined Canada West Foundation in 1995 and has worked on a broad array of public policy topics including economic development, local government, demographic trends, the nonprofit sector, public opinion, regional cooperation, environmental policy, democratic reform and public finance. Robert served as the Foundation’s Director of Research from 2004 until 2009.

Robert has been President of the Economics Society of Calgary, is a Course Director and Instructor in the University of Alberta/Dalhousie University National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration, and is the Vice-Chair of the Calgary Arts Academy (a public charter school focused on arts immersion as a teaching method). Robert has a BA and MA in Political Science from the University of Calgary. Born in Edmonton, Robert has called Calgary home since 1974.
